Business Essentials for Women Entrepreneurs

Women entrepreneurs in the program were leading from the ground, but still lacked a few pragmatic knowledge of business essentials.

Tieing up with Grameen, we set out to understand their needs, ecosystem and challenges which helped us design tools to assist them in this role.

What did we do?

Pillars we built the playbook on business fundamentals

We made it accessible & physical

We made it visual & low-literacy friendly

We made it in local languages

Outcomes

Women entrepreneurs could navigate complex business processes with confidence, guided by clear, actionable steps rather than overwhelming concepts.

Effective Program Implementation

Helped the field team deliver the program universally & scale it

Higher Adoption

Attracted more small business owners & enabled them to kickstart their journey

Encourage Independence

Reduced dependency on the field team by enabling easy access to information and resources

Our Process

Immersion

Identifying topics & learnings to be included for each playbook

Explore and Identify

Scoping the narrative & content by talking to the key stakeholders - Strategy Team, TG, Beneficiaries.

Ideate and Co-create

Defining the overall narrative & structure of the playbook. And defining the Visual Guide & Style

Pilot and Testing

Workbooks were tested with Women chohort, digitally, using Whatsapp for a quick round of feedback.

COM-B Model

We applied COM-B to identify what women entrepreneurs needed, then built on their strengths and removed barriers.

What They Say About Us

The digital transformation playbook created by the SiS team was not just comprehensive, but exceptionally user-friendly for our MSME partners on the ground. Many of these micro and small businesses previously struggled with adopting digital tools and we struggled to cater to multiple business owners but the step-by-step nature of the playbook made the program implementation seamless.

Saqib Khan

Senior PM

Working with SiS was refreshing & exciting. Their interactive and engaging approach made it easy to discuss complex concepts like 'resilience,' even when there is no local translation. The tools they developed facilitated open and honest conversations, leading to a deeper understanding and stronger outcomes.

Sandhra Jose

Project Manager

Before the implementation tool, I felt overwhelmed by the complexity of our programs. Thanks to the tools, I'm now better equipped to understand the bigger picture, communicate effectively with the community, and address their needs. I'm more confident and motivated than ever before.
